Wards legislating commissions at Primary Healthcare, urges the advice to employ multiple workers

The member who represents the electoral college of Jos North-North in the State of the Plateau assembly house, Hon. Adamu Aliyu, invited the North Local Government Council to employ further healthcare professionals at the primary health facility of Angwan Rimi (Phc).

Aliyu made the call as he commissioned further departments and a laboratory, which he built and provided to the Phc.

While expressed concern, he noticed that apart from the head of the structure, only two staff members are officially employed, while several volunteers remain during the night to take care of the patients.

“The head of the structure has complained of ridiculous to that, and there is a desperate need to use more personal. I appeal to the Council to give priority to the absorption of the volunteer staff who made the services here for decades,” said Aliyu.

The legislator has also undertaken to build a modern structure of toilets and expand the reception room at the Phc.

He also urged the Prime Minister, the Hon. Joseph Cristo, to embark on development projects between communities.

Aliyu praised governor Caleb Mutfwang for the approval of projects in his electoral college pursuant to the 2024 budget, but appealed to contractors to be mobilized for timely execution.

He also encouraged the members to participate in the next free medical perfume by Prof. Nentawe in the Sunnah (Future University Teaching Hospital) hospital.

The legislator expressed appreciation to the philanthropist Alhaji Sadeq Shuaibu Plaza for his previous interventions in the Angwan Rimi structure, which according to him laid the foundations for further improvements.

A youth leader of the community, Nasiru Shu’Aibu, praised the efforts of the legislator, detecting his contributions for the youth empowerment and the installations of solar lamppost.

For his part, the director of the healthcare of the local government council of North Jos, Mrs. Martha Kummap, expressed gratitude for the intervention and promised to face the delavyvolutionary issue.

He also appealed to women to fully exploit the structure, in particular for prenatal care.
