The former deputy governor has emerged as APC chairman in Oyo

Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Moses Adeyemo, on Tuesday emerged as the new chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Adeyemo was unanimously adopted as the consensus candidate at the party’s state congress held at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan.

The new chairman hails from Igboho in Oke Ogun Zone, Orelope Local Government Area of ​​the state.

He served as deputy governor during the administration of the late Abiola Ajimobi from 2011 to 2019.

Adeyemo was announced by former APC National Youth Leader, Afeez Bolaji, at the end of the exercise.

Bolaji is also the Secretary of the party’s ad hoc zoning committee.

Among the elected executive committee members was Olawale Sadare, who was returned as the party’s publicity secretary.

The state congress follows the success of the environmental and local government congresses held on February 18 and February 21 respectively, both of which were decided by consensus.
