Mulbah Warns Guinean Flag on Liberian Soil Threatens National Sovereignty

GBARNGA, Liberia March 10, 2026 — Former Bong County Electoral District #3 Representative George Mulbah has raised concern over the presence of a Guinean flag reportedly hoisted on Liberian soil, describing the situation as a serious threat to the sovereignty of Liberia.

Mulbah said the incident challenges the responsibility of the ruling Unity Party government to uphold its constitutional oath to protect and defend the territorial integrity of the country.

According to the former lawmaker, allowing the national flag of Guinea to be raised within Liberia’s territory sends the wrong signal about the government’s ability to safeguard its borders and maintain national authority.

He stressed that any action perceived to undermine Liberia’s territorial sovereignty must be addressed promptly by the government, warning that failure to act could weaken public confidence in the administration’s commitment to national security.

Mulbah also called on national authorities to investigate the matter and take decisive steps to ensure that Liberia’s territorial boundaries and sovereignty are respected.
