Australia’s Prime Minister was booed by protesters during a visit to the country’s largest mosque.

Anthony ‌Albanese and Australia Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke joins worshipers at Lakemba Mosque in Sydney for Eid prayers on Friday.

Video of the event shows some protesters making lengthy interruptions, including telling them to “get out!” and called them “supporters of genocide.”

A security guard was seen knocking one of the hecklers to the ground before escorting him away.

At one point during the riot, an organizer told the crowd to sit down and stop filming, saying, “dear brothers and sisters, stay a little calm”, and “It’s ⁠Eid al-Fitr. It’s a great day”.

But hostilities continued, with some people shouting “shame on you” as the politicians left.
