
The sponsor of the National Commission for Coordination and Control of Proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons Bill, Dr. Baba Mohammed, has extended Easter greetings to Nigerians, calling for peace and unity across the country.
In a goodwill message, the Madaki of Ankpa urged Christians and other citizens to embrace the spirit of the holidays, describing Easter as a time of reflection, gratitude and harmonious living.
He prayed for lasting joy and happiness among Nigerians, expressing optimism that peace will continue to prevail nationwide.
Mohammed also called on citizens to remain steadfast in prayers for the country and for the successful take-off of the Commission, stressing that its full implementation would help tackle insecurity.
He said the proposed commission would create employment opportunities for youths and boost the national economy, describing it as one of the key legacies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The NATCOM supporter also congratulated the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; the Minister of Defense, General Christopher Musa; and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, among others, at the Easter celebration.
