Delta Queens prodigy, Oparanmegwa Pattra, has pledged renewed commitment to the club despite the team’s close 5-3 away defeat to Dannaz Ladies in the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).
Pattra, who made his debut for Delta Queens at the start of the season, has quickly become a key figure on the team. In seven appearances, the right-back has already recorded three assists, and her creativity and vision have proven instrumental in leading Delta Queens to sixth place in the league standings as the season heats up.
Speaking after the clash with Dannaz Ladies, Pattra expressed optimism about the club’s trajectory and his personal ambitions. “My dream is to wear the national colors of Nigeria and make my debut for the Super Falcons if the opportunity presents itself,” he said. “Michelle Alozie is my role model: watching her play always inspires me and motivates me to try harder.”
Despite the disappointment of the 5-3 result, Pattra remains confident that Delta Queens can finish among the top three teams at the end of the NWFL season. He credited the club for giving him a platform to showcase his talent and promised to repay that faith with greater commitment and dedication.
“I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to play for Delta Queens. I promise to give my all to ensure the team’s success,” Pattra said.
With her combination of style, work rate and ambition, Oparanmegwa Pattra is quickly emerging as one of the hottest young talents to watch in Nigerian women’s football this season.
