American pop singer Britney Spears has reportedly checked into a rehabilitation facility following her arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence in early March, as scrutiny of the pop star’s personal struggles intensifies.

The incident occurred on March 5, when the California Highway Patrol arrested Spears on charges that she was driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Authorities are said to have found an unknown substance in his vehicle during the stop.

Following the incident, Spears’ manager described the incident as “absolutely inexcusable,” indicating that the singer would cooperate with authorities and take steps toward recovery.
