Leading 1-0 from the first leg in Portugal, the Gunners had the upper hand, and they held on goalless at the Emirates Stadium to beat the Portuguese.

Mikel Arteta’s side will now face Atletico Madrid in the last four as they fight for a place in the final.
Elsewhere, Bayern and Real Madrid put on a thrilling display at the Allianz stadium as the German side secured a 6-4 aggregate win to progress to the semi-finals.

Trailing 2-1 in the first leg at the Bernabeu, Real Madrid had the opportunity to fight, and gave everything in the second leg.
But it was Bayern who won the day as they secured a 4-3 home win in a thrilling encounter to progress to the last four.
Harry Kane and Michael Olise were among Bayern’s scorers while Kylian Mbappe and Ardar Güler were on the scoresheet for Real, who ended the match with nine men following two red cards.
The German champions have now set a Champions League semi-final date with reigning champions Paris St-Germain.
The winner of this match will face Arsenal or Sporting in the Champions League final.
