The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially released the party’s preliminary election schedule for various levels of elective office ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary in a statement on Sunday, also announced that the party’s presidential nomination form is pegged at N100 million, the governorship at N50 million, the Senate at N20 million, the House of Representatives at N10 million and the State House of Assembly at N3 million.
The statement reads, among other things: “sales of nomination forms will take place from 5 May to 10 May 2026, while submission of completed forms is scheduled for 11 May to 13 May 2026.
“Screening of prospective participants will take place from May 14 to May 15 2026, followed by publication of the screening results on May 17 2026.
“The appeal will be heard between 18 May and 19 May 2026, with the final list of successful candidates to be released on 20 May 2026.
“Primary elections will begin on May 21, 2026, with elections for State House, House of Representatives, and Senate seats held simultaneously at the ward level. The Governor’s primary will take place on May 22, 2026, while the Presidential Primary Election is scheduled for May 25, 2026.

“This will be followed by a National Executive Committee meeting on May 26, 2026, and a Special National Convention on May 27, 2026, at which final ratification will take place.
“In line with our commitment to inclusivity and broad participation, we have also approved a structured fee regime for nomination forms in all elective positions. The presidential nomination form is pegged at N100 million, the governorship at N50 million, the Senate at N20 million, the House of Representatives at N10 million, and the State House of Assembly at N3 million.
“To encourage wider participation, we have introduced concessionary rates, offering a 50 per cent discount for young people and a 25 per cent discount for women and people with disabilities.”
