An articulated truck has crushed a commercial motorcyclist and his passenger to death on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway on Sunday.
General Manager of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday by the agency.

Bakare-Oki said it was regrettable that the accident occurred at the Iyana-Iba Flyover near Lagos State University, Ojo.
Bakare-Oki said: “initial findings reveal that the fully loaded truck drove from Volkswagen towards Badagry, hit a pedestrian and failed to stop.

“A motorcyclist accompanied by other sympathizers chased the fleeing truck driver, until he died after the driver crashed into the motorbike, while his companion managed to escape without injury.
“Officers of the LASTMA Night Gang Surveillance and Surveillance Patrol Team deployed along the Badagry Expressway corridor evacuated the deceased motorcyclist who was trapped under the front tire of a bucket truck.”
“The driver was turned over to police in Okokomaiko as well as Federal Road Safety Corps officers for further investigation.”
