2027 Elections: Akwa Ibom Will Deliver Highest Votes For Tinubu – Akpabio

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, on Tuesday in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, said Akwa Ibom State will provide the highest number of votes for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the South-South geopolitical zone.

Akpabio, according to a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Jackson Udom, made the statement during the consultation of critical stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), at the Government House, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where Governor Umo Eno, formally consulted members of the party on his candidacy to return to Government House in 2027.

He said: “Today’s event proves that Governor Eno is a peaceful governor, a man of God in words and deeds. His peaceful disposition and ability to carry everyone along have given us confidence that in the South-South geopolitical zone, Akwa Ibom will provide the largest number of votes.

“Despite having no one to challenge him for the sole ticket of the party, he is humble enough to still consult party members and critical stakeholders in the state. This is very instructive for the kind of person he is.

“If you go around the state, you will know that there is a government. Projects are initiated, completed and commissioned for the use of the people. Even abandoned projects are completed and commissioned.

This is a governor who cares about the progress of his people. I congratulate him on the recent commencement of international flights to and from Victor Attah International Airport.”

He added that the people and government of Akwa Ibom State are very grateful to President Bola Tinubu for supporting one of their sons to the exalted position of Senate President and will show their gratitude at the polls next year.
