APC clarifies reports of shift in primary election date

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that the scheduled date for the Party’s upcoming Primary Election for the 2027 General Election remains unchanged.

The party in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka said clarification became necessary following the circulation of false and misleading reports on social media and other communication platforms stating otherwise.

It outlines the Primary Elections still to be held as follows:

• DPR – Friday, 15 May 2026

• Senate – Monday, May 18, 2026

• State Assembly – Wednesday, May 20, 2026

• Governorate – Thursday, May 21, 2026

• President – ​​Saturday, May 23, 2026
