Nigerian Wonderkid Wisdom James makes his first senior start for FK Spartak in the Serbian SuperLiga

Young Nigerian attacker Wisdom James has reached another important milestone in his European football career after making his first starting appearance for FK. Spartak Subotica in the Serbian SuperLiga.

The talented striker was involved from the start in Spartak’s narrow 1-0 defeat against FK IMT, delivering an energetic and encouraging performance throughout the 90 minutes.

The match marked Wisdom James’ second professional appearance for the Serbian team and his first full game for the senior team since gaining promotion from the club’s youth set-up.

Despite the defeat, the young Nigerian attacker impressed with his movement, confidence, work rate and attacking intent throughout the match.

James came close to scoring during the match after making a dangerous attacking effort that was brilliantly saved by the opposing goalkeeper, denying him what would have been a memorable first goal.

The promising forward joined FK Spartak Ždrepčeva Krv from a Nigerian academy last year, beginning his European career with the club’s under-19 team.

Since arriving in Serbia, Wisdom James has quickly become one of the standout attacking players in the Omladinska liga Srbije U19, where his performances consistently attracted attention within the club.

His promotion to the senior team is seen as a reward for his hard work, discipline and constant development over the past year.

Known for his pace, direct attacking style, movement in the final third and confidence on the ball, the young Nigerian continues to show signs of becoming another exciting talent emerging from the growing pool of Nigerian players in Europe.
