Police arrest 4 cult suspects in Lagos

Police agents in Lagos have arrested four cult suspects linked to a series of violent crimes and murders in Ajanmgbadi, Ojo and neighboring communities in the state.

Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos.

Adebisi said the suspects were arrested as part of ongoing efforts to eradicate cultism, violent crimes and other criminal activities across the state.

He said the suspects, aged between 22 and 39 years, were arrested at a hotel in Ajanmgbadi, Ojo Local Government Area of ​​the state based on credible intelligence information.

According to him, the initial investigation found evidence linking the suspects to violent crimes in the area.

“Investigators recovered a video from one of the suspect’s mobile phones which allegedly shows the killing of unknown persons in Ajanmgbadi and surrounding communities.

“Upon interrogation, the suspects admitted to being members of the Aiye Brotherhood and confessed to terrorizing residents through a series of murders and other violent crimes,” the spokesperson said.

Adebisi said further searches resulted in the discovery of two locally made pistols, one revolver and 13 live bullets allegedly used in the crime.
