Primate Ayodele denied Kwankwaso’s claims of defamation, insisting that this was just a prophecy

The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has denied accusations of defamation leveled by former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

The politician accused Primate Ayodele of defaming him in a prediction he made some weeks ago, in which he stated that Kwankwaso would betray former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, in his presidential bid.

However, in a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele stated that there was no intention to defame Kwankwaso in his predictions, noting that he did not attack the person directly.

The cleric explained that he was simply relaying the prophecy he received from God, as he always does, and that it was not influenced by any personal issues with the politician.

He further stated that he never intended to defame Kwankwaso, stressing that there was nothing personal between them and he was only speaking based on what he received from God. However, he notes that the prophecy is widely misunderstood.

“It has come to my attention that former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has accused me of falsely accusing him in my recent predictions regarding his political ambitions.

“I want to state clearly that the purpose of my prophecies has never been to defame, slander, or attack anyone’s personality. I only speak based on what I received from the throne of God.

“I have never met Senator Kwankwaso, nor have I had any personal issues with him. Therefore, there is absolutely no reason for me to intentionally target or attack him. Just as I speak about any individual divinely addressed to me, I speak about him and his political aspirations based solely on the messages I received.”

The man of God stated that Kwankwaso was someone he respected, just as he respected every other individual, and his predictions were not influenced by personal relationships. He added that if asked for clarification, he would explain his statement to make it clear that he had no intention of defaming the politician.

“Kwankwaso is someone I respect, just as I respect every individual. My predictions are never influenced by personal relationships, sentiments, or complaints; they are simply divine messages and directions revealed to me.

“For the sake of clarity, I would like to state that my message was greatly misunderstood and misinterpreted by those with an interest in Kwankwaso’s political career. Unfortunately, even these politicians misunderstood my statement and took it as a personal attack and an attempt to malign his character.

“This should not have happened. If I had asked for clarification, I would have explained what I meant, and made it clear that I had no intention of defaming any politician or anyone I mentioned in my predictions.”

Furthermore, he urged the people mentioned in his predictions to seek clarification before issuing threats or accusations. He also warned against people manipulating his videos for personal or political gain, and stated that action would be taken against such people.

“I would really appreciate it if the people mentioned in my predictions asked for clarification before issuing threats or making accusations. I would also like to take this opportunity to warn those who manipulate my videos for personal, political or personal gain. Such actions are misleading and unacceptable.

“I strongly urge those involved to stop immediately, as appropriate action will be taken against anyone found guilty of intentionally altering my message for ulterior motives.”
