FIFA has appointed Slovakia’s Slavko Vinčić to referee the 2026 World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina.
Vinčić will be accompanied by assistant referees Tomaž Klančnik and Andraž Kovačič.
Adham Makhadmeh of Jordan was named as the fourth official for the match at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The World Cup final will be Vinčić’s fourth match of the tournament.
The Slovenian has officiated the group matches between Brazil vs Morocco and Jordan vs Algeria.
He also refereed the round of 32 match between Mexico and Ecuador, in which he sent off Ecuadorian defender Piero Hincapié under an anti-discrimination protocol widely referred to as the “Vinícius Law.”
