The Super Eagles’ starting eleven against Guinea-Bissau: Chukwueze and Ndidi out

Nigeria senior national team coach Eric Chelle has been forced to make two changes to the Super Eagles squad for the AFCON 2027 qualifier against Guinea-Bissau, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Nigeria will reach the top of the table without the services of their captain Wilfred Ndidi and also the starting winger Samuel Chukwueze. Both players started in the 2-1 win against Madagascar on Friday.

We can exclusively reveal that Chelle has also chosen Alex Iwobi to lead the team as captain, and there is a chance that LASK winger Moses Usor, who marked his debut with a beautiful solo goal against Madagascar, will start for the first time.

The good news is that 20-year-old striker George Ilenikhena is now match fit and judging from yesterday’s training, he will start in a three-man attack with Akor Adams and Ademola Lookman.

Coventry City midfielder Frank Onyeka will replace captain Ndidi in midfield, with Chelle returning to the 4-4-2 formation. A formation that changed to 4-3-2-1 in the second half against Madagascar.
