BBNaija Season 11: Big Brother Disqualifies Nomy After Refusing Bench Warmer Punishment

Whitney Chukwu, popularly known as Nomy, has been disqualified from the 11th season of Big Brother Naija following a violation of the show’s rules.

Her exit was announced after she refused to accept the “Benchwarmer” role she was assigned during the seventh week of the competition.

Big Brother revokes Nomy’s stay

According to the show’s organizers, the punishment followed the Head of the House (HOH) challenge, where the least active participant was given the responsibility of the Bench Warmer.

The task required Nomy to pick up a designated vest and bench, which he would have to use throughout the week as part of the punishment.

However, he forgot the items and refused to take part in the assigned responsibility.

Big Brother later questioned his decision.

“Nomy, you are the Bench Warmer, so Big Brother is curious as to why you left your vest and bench behind. What is your intention?” asked Big Brother.

Roommate given the opportunity to explain the action

Answering the question, Nomy said he had no deliberate intention to leave the items behind.

She explained that she wasn’t thinking of any specific reason when she walked away from the vest and the bench.

After considering the situation, Big Brother informed her that her continued participation in the show had been revoked.

“Last week you were reminded that participation is a privilege and effective immediately, your privilege is revoked,” Big Brother announced.

Nomy ordered to leave the house

Following the decision, Big Brother ordered Nomy to leave the house within 30 minutes.

The remaining housemates were ordered to move to the garden while the disqualification procedure was carried out.

Previous warnings before disqualification

Nomy’s exit came after previous disciplinary action during his time in the competition.

He had previously received a strike and numerous warnings for violating some of the rules that guide activities within the Big Brother house.

Her disqualification makes her the ninth contestant to leave the house on season 11.

Seven housemates had previously been evicted, while one contestant had left voluntarily.
