The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Imo State Chapter, has congratulated veteran sports journalist and former President of the Nigeria National League (NNL), Chief George Aluo, on his appointment as Media Advisor in the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Grassroots Sports Development, Hon. Adeyinka Anthony Adeboye.
Imo SWAN made this known in a statement signed by Secretary Anthony Ahize. President Cosmos Chukwuemeka described the appointment as well-deserved, noting that Chief Aluo’s wealth of experience in sports journalism, football administration and development has distinguished him as a credible professional in the Nigerian sports sector.
According to Chukwuemeka, Aluo’s track record of focused stewardship, particularly during his time as NNL president, coupled with his over three decades of experience in the media and sports sector, make him eminently qualified for the new responsibility.
