Actors Guild, RMD, fans celebrate Joke Silva @65

Veteran Nigerian actress, Joke Silva, was celebrated by colleagues and members of the Nigerian entertainment industry as she celebrated her 65th birthday.

The Nigerian Actors Association joined fans and fellow entertainers in celebrating the actress, praising her long contribution to Nollywood and Nigeria’s creative industry.

Veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, known as RMD, also praised Silva and described him as a close friend and colleague.

RMD recalled that their friendship and professional relationship had existed for more than 40 years.

Joke Silva has had a long career in theatre, television and film. He has become one of the recognized figures in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria also praised her work as an actress, mentor and member of the guild’s Board of Trustees.

The union said Silva had contributed to the development of Nigerian theater and film through his acting and leadership career.

Hence, his 65th birthday attracted tributes from colleagues and entertainment fans.

The celebration comes as the Nigerian entertainment industry continues to recognize the contribution of veteran actors who have played a vital role in the growth of Nollywood.
