BC municipal election day 2026: Polls open across the province

It’s voting day in B.C.’s 2026 municipal elections and polling stations are now open across the province.

Voting will remain open until 20.00 local time.

Anyone who lines up to vote before the polling stations close is still eligible to vote.

Local elections were held for mayor and city councillors, regional district director, school board trustee, Vancouver parks board and Cultus Lake and the Islands Trust.

Each local government in BC manages its own polling station.

Local governments provide information about when, where and how to vote.

Global BC will provide complete coverage of the municipal election via TV, radio and online.
