Raphael Onyedika underscores the importance of the Super Eagles triumphing over Lesotho in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Nigeria’s World Cup qualification campaign opener, will get under way this Thursday, and the Super Eagles boast an impeccable record against the visitors, having emerged victorious in all four previous meetings.

After missing out of the last World Cup in Qatar, the fans expect the team to hit the ground running against the Crocodiles.

Speaking ahead of the game, Onyedika however affirms that the fervent expectations of fans serve as ample motivation to clinch the coveted three points.

“It’s a must win game, we have to put all our effort to win the game because our fans and everyone is counting on us so we need to do everything possible to get the three points.”

The Midfielder also expresses contentment with the team’s preparatory efforts.

”The session was nice it’s good to be back and prepare for the coming games so we need to get ready,” He said.
