2024 AAC: Gold-fighting Ajayi qualifies in men’s 100m final

Ajayi, currently the fastest man in Nigeria, finished second in his semi-final race with a time of 10.03 seconds.

The race was won by Ismael Kone of the Ivory Coast.

The pre-race favorite, Letsile Tebogo of Botswana, was disqualified after a false start.

Ajayi, who took the 100m title during the Nigerian Olympic trials, will now try to add a continental medal to his achievements.
