President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Accra, Ghana, to attend the 6th Mid-Annual Coordination Meeting of the African Union (AU), currently underway in the West African country.
The President was welcomed by a delegation of Nigerian officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana, Ambassador Dayo Adeoye.
The Presidency statement noted that Tinubu, in his capacity as Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, will address the AU meeting on the theme, “Educating and Skilling Africa in the 21st Century,” and discuss the status of regional integration in various parts of Africa.

President Tinubu will also use the opportunity to highlight achievements and challenges faced in West Africa since the last meeting held in Nairobi, Kenya, in July 2023, he said.
Based on the activity overview, President Tinubu will deliver the “2024 Report on the State of the Community” with a special focus on peace, regional security, governance, economic integration, humanitarian and social development, energy, mining, and agriculture.
