Abure faction warns Inec of the negligence of the LP logo in the selection of interruptions

Julius Abure’s faction from the Labor Party has warned the Independent National Election Commission (Inec) so that it does not include the party logo in the election of August 16.

Secretary of the National Publicity of Faction, Obiora Ifoh, gave a warning in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja

Ifoh said that the party would look for election cancellation in accordance with legal provisions if the names of the candidates were not included in the election.

He urged the Nigerians who intended well to win with Inec to respect the constitution and the Election Law in carrying out their duties.

“Going based on the 2022 Election Law, every political party that is excluded from participating in any election is expected to approach the court for recovery,” he said.

Ifoh remembers the Supreme Court’s decision submitted on April 4, which states the problem of leadership as a party’s internal affairs.

“Going with the internal mechanism of the party, held a convention on March 27, 2024, in Nnewi, which resulted in current leadership, led by Barr. Julius Abure,” he said.

Ifoh, therefore, urged Inec to respect the Supreme Court’s decision and party leadership.
