ADC is looking for the emergency rule in Katsina, Zamfara for the massacre of worshipers

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) asked for an immediate declaration of a state of emergency in the States of Katsina and Zamfara, following recent massacres of worshipers.

The party made the call in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja by his secretary of national advertising, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, following the killing of several citizens in the two states.

Abdullahi said that the ADC was deeply worried about the recent massacre in the area of the local government of Malumfashi in the state of Katsina, where the faithful were killed with a gunshots during the prayers of dawn, while others were killed in their homes through the villages.

“In light of the foregoing, ADC therefore asks for an immediate declaration of an emergency state in the States of Katsina and Zamfara until the government is able to stem the tide of bloodshed in those places and restore a certain order,” he said.

He also invited President Bola Tinubu to undertake a total revaluation of Nigeria’s national security architecture to adequately protect the life and property of the Nigerians.

“The recent call of the head of the defense staff (CD) for citizens to acquire self -defense skills is perhaps the most honest indicator, but it is necessary to rethink the entire internal defense system,” he said.

Abdullahi denounced what described how the insensitivity of both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP) to the difficult situation of citizens, stating that the two dominant parties were only worried about power and politics.

He criticized the decision of the governors of the PDP to keep a political encounter in the state of Zamfara a few days after the tragic killing of residents in the state, describing the action as “seriously insensitive”.
