Nigerian striker Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the 2024 Men’s Ballon d’Or.
Lookman is also the only African national team player among this year’s nominees.

The 26-year-old winger enjoyed an impressive 2023-24 season, capping it off with a place in the Africa Cup of Nations final.
He also reached the final of the Coppa Italia and had a remarkable performance in the Europa League final, scoring a hat-trick that secured Atalanta’s first trophy in 61 years.
In addition to his club success, Lookman was instrumental in Nigeria’s run to second place at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Throughout the season, he scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists in 66 appearances in all competitions for both club and country.
