Adugbe makes quick impact for Napoli, assists on league debut

Napoli’s new signing Olamide Adugbe made his debut in the team’s 3-1 defeat against defending champions AS Roma.

Adugbe, who was introduced last Thursday, came on in the 58th minute when Napoli was already losing 3-0.

AS Roma’s Manuela Giugliano scored twice and Canada’s Evelyn Veins added a third goal in the first half.

Adugbe helped Napoli by assisting Michela Giordano on their only goal in the 80th minute.

However, the Nigerian midfielder also received a yellow card shortly after entering the match.

Napoli are currently in seventh place with three points from four games and will face AC Milan on October 6, 2024.
