Afam Osigwe, a prominent Nigerian lawyer and former secretary general of the Nigerian Bar Association, has been elected president in the 2024 NBA elections.
The 2024 NBA elections were held online.
Voting began at 12:00 on Saturday and ended at 23:59 with the live presentation of results for all positions. https://go.ecnba.org/results/
As of 12pm on Sunday morning, Osigwe had secured 20,395 votes, defeating his nearest rival, the Chairman of the Governing Council of the NBA-Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Tobenna Erojikwe, who secured 10,970 votes, while the former Chairman of the NBA Lagos branch, Chukwuka Ikwuazom (SAN), secured 9,007 votes.
Osigwe is set to succeed outgoing President Yakubu Maikyau (SAN).
