Afenifere assessment of medium-term performance fraud Tinubu-presidential

The Presidential has described a credited statement to the Pan-Yoruba Social Organization Faction group, Afenifere, in the medium-term performance of the Tinubu Bola President as fraud.

The group on Sunday described the “latest hope” agenda that was praised from the current government as a reality of nightmares for the Nigerians.

In a statement issued by the leader of the faction and the secretary of the National Publicity, Oba Oladipo Oloy and Judge Faloye, the group argues that the medium-term performance of Tinubu has made every human development and the socio-political index in the country.

According to factions, medium-term reports show that every human development and socio-political index have experienced a setback since the President Tinubu served and changed the promise of new hopes to become a nightmare of decline and despair.

He accused the Tinubu government of carrying out large propaganda and incorrect presentations for its achievements.

However, in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja, a special advisor to the president for the media and public communication, Sunday Dare, said Afenifere’s statement raised a serious concern about the hobby and intentional efforts to find mistakes and trade in fraud instead of objectivity.

He said the group found it difficult to accept that under the new agenda of President Tinubu’s new hope, the story of Nigeria’s return was ongoing.

Dare said: “Afenifere who rebel claims that the performance of President Tinubu’s administration for the past two years has witnessed regression in human development, misinterporal economic, and democratic decline.

“This is a yellow view, echoing the views of the opposition politicians, one of which is the group is supported in the 2023 election.

“A balanced assessment based on available data reveals a more objective and progressive picture, with significant achievements in the midst of the expected challenges from countries such as Nigeria with problems that are decades aged.”

He blamed the Afenifere claim that the removal of fuel subsidies and floating naira caused “suffering that was not comparable” and “economic flaws.”

The President’s assistant emphasized that the claim was intended to attract attention to several challenges, but ignored the benefits of macroeconomic.

Dare is very strict that the removal of fuel subsidies saves the government of more than $ 10 billion in 2023 alone, reducing fiscal tension and directing funds to other sectors.

He added that uniting the foreign exchange market and the Naira buoys aimed at overcoming distortion in the currency market, increasing foreign reserves to $ 38.1 billion in 2024, and achieved the N18.86 trillion trade surplus for the country.

According to him, the annual inflation rate fell to 23.71 percent in April 2025 from 24.23 percent in the previous month under Tinubu’s supervision.

“Food inflation, the most significant component of the inflation basket, continues to increase but is moderated to 21.26 percent from 21.79 percent.

“While these numbers show stabilization, direct impacts on ordinary Nigerians are not lost.

“The government cash transfer program, which provides funds for the poorest households and the benefits of more than 5.7 million households, is a credible outreach.

“However, rejecting twin policies due to mistakes that are not forced to ignore the non -continuous nature of the previous subsidized regime and several exchange rate systems, which drain public finances.

“A more balanced criticism will recognize the need for reform while emphasizing the need for a better targeted social safety net,” added the president’s aide.
