Air Peace Counters Allegations of extortion of Oshiomhole, Boarding Fraud

Air Peace Airlines has reacted to charges of extortion and ticket extortion that was leveled against him and his officials by former Governor of the State Edo, and now Senator Adams Oshiomhole.

MPs who represent Edo North in the Senate have accused the airline of carrying out sharp practices in extorting passengers and selling pass boarding as exorbitant rates after Brouhaha that occurred on Wednesday morning after he was rejected by a plane due to loss of morning flight to Abuja.

The senator was arrested in the video closing the terminal at the local wing at Mohammed Murtala Airport in Lagos after missing the morning flight to Abuja.

When reacting to the scene, Air Peace had been in a statement, accusing Oshiomhole interrupted the airport operation after being suspected of losing a scheduled flight, claiming that parliament members had arrived late for flights P47120, scheduled to depart from Abuja at 6:30 am.

But when talking to reporters in Abuja, Oshiomhole said that air peace prevented him and other passengers from Lagos to Abuja despite check-in online, while accusing air peaceful officials of selling air tickets in places at an increase in prices to buyers who were willing, noting that it was a fragile air peace case, including himself.

However, in a statement on Thursday morning, the airline denied the accusation by the former NLC president, said that the senator lied and deliberately peddled falsity against him and his officials.

The statement of the rebuttal posted on the grip x of the airline reads:

“Our attention has been focused on the deliberate falsehood sold by Senator Adams Oshiomole against air peace.

“The senator lied brightly when he accused the peace of the air of squeezing its passengers. We challenged the Oshomole senator to carry one proof of being squeezed by passengers.

“There is no staff who squeezed any passengers. In fact, no tickets were sold after closing the check-in on the flight. Everyone who flew to buy their tickets before the flight closure.

“Once again, our flight has never been ordered too much as alleged by several videos. In fact, the plane took off with more than thirty (30) empty seats. It would be an interest in bringing Oshiomhole and other people who missed their flights for delays in this flight, instead of flying many empty seats;

“It is really wrong that he was offered a special treatment and that he struggled for others. Senator Oshiomole did not fight for anyone. He came to the airport late and told that he was late.

“He then began to bother the problem. He jumped on the baggage conveyor belt preventing the check-in process of other flights. He also flashed the entrance gate and prevent access to the terminal. When he did all this, he also deliberately incite other passengers against the airline.

“We called for the Federal Nigerian airport authority (FAAN) to release CCTV coverage starting from the time of Senator Oshiomole entering the airport, to be seen by Nigeria. The allegation of extortion is very slandering.
