Alleged identity fraud: s/africa bar of chidimma adetshina to seek permanent residence

● He places it under the domestic arrest

The South African government has imposed rigid bail conditions for Anabela Rungo, mother of the universe of SM in office Africa and Oceania, Chidimma Adetshina, and also prevented from looking for permanent residence in the country.

As part of the conditions, the State has granted its deposit R10.000 and ordered to be placed under the arrest of the house.

Rungo, a Mozambican citizen, was arrested the penultimate week on the accusations of identity fraud and violation of the immigration laws of SA.

The South African government had said that he had continued to reside in SA after his documentation had been revoked in September last year for the accusations of fraudulently obtaining his identity documents, justifying his arrest.

“The Department withdrew the South African documentation of Rungo in September 2024 after discovering that it had been fraudulently obtained, making it not admissible to continue residing in South Africa.

“It seems that Rungo has challenged his” undesirable “status through his Mozambican passport,” said Siya Qoza’s spokesman, spokesman for internal affairs.

The Court had denied his deposit for his first appearance last week, claiming that his deposit could undermine public peace.

However, during the hearing taken on Wednesday, the Court granted its deposit in the sum of R10,000 and instead arrested her at home.

She was also prevented from leaving her home except the purpose of consulting with her lawyers.

Although the prosecutor claimed to have placed a flight risk and opposed his release, the magistrate Sadiqah Guandouz observed that the state of immigration of Rungo would remain the same whether it was detained or not.

By comparing the judgment, the magistrate said: “Rungo will be under home arrest and could only leave his home to consult his lawyers. It is forbidden to request residence permits or that anyone who does it on his behalf, and immigration agents can conduct visits without notice to verify compliance. “

In the meantime, Rungo has continued to maintain his innocence and claimed that his right to a fair audition was violated by the authority.

The mother of Adetshina was examined following the controversy surrounding the participation of her daughter in the beauty contest of Miss South Africa last year.

Chidimma adetshina was not admissible to contest, since it was not a town in South Africa.

Later he retired from South Africa as a competitor following online bullying.

Adetshina later contested and won the Miss Nigeria 2024 universe after accepting an invitation from the Silverbird group to participate in the competition.

He would continue to become the first classified Miss Universe 2024 and Miss Universe Africa and Oceania.

Rungo had to return to court on May 8th.
