Amaechi’s wife denied N4BN monthly payments from NDDC, Wike’s challenges to issue audit reports

Judith Amaechi, wife of former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on Tuesday denied that he received N4 billion per month from the Delta Niger Development Commission (NDDC).

Federal Capital Region Minister (FCT), Nyesom Wike, earlier this month accused that the wife of the former minister collected N4 billion per month from the intervention agent.

He also appealed to the President of the Tinubu Bola to release a forensic audit report conducted at NDDC during the late former President Muhammadu Buhari to expose those who were suspected of benefiting the commission.

In a statement issued by his media, Dike Bekele, the wife of the former governor described the accusation wild and unfounded.

The statement reads: “Both of them did not make sense and merely from Mr. Wike’s imagination.

“There is absolutely no truth in the accusation made by Mr. Wike against Dame Amaechi and the initiative of empowerment support (ESI). Dame Amaechi does not and has never received four billion Nirara monthly payments (₦ 4,000,000,000.00) from the Delta Niger Development Commission, NDDC.

“Quite contrary to the falsehood made and spread by Mr. Nyesom Wike, a partner funding between the Empowerment Support Initiative (ESI) and NDDC is in the public glare to be examined.

“It would not make sense for Wike to accuse that the initiative of empowerment support (ESI) or Dame Judith Amaechi was charged in the NDDC forensic audit report, which has not been published to the Nigerian public. Both of them are unreasonable, unfounded, and just fitting from Wike.

“We hope that the Minister of Nyesom Wike will remain patient on his prayer answered in the unpublished NDDC forensic audit report, rather than being involved and enjoying the media test with direct national television broadcasts.

“Therefore, we challenge Mr. Wike to announce his version of a forensic audit report on the Delta Niger Development Commission, where both Dame Judith Amaechi or Esi was charged.

“In terms of the possibility that Wike failed to give such a report, so we challenge Mr. Wike to move his pride and make the dare to submit his resignation as Minister of the Federal Capital Region, immediately with an apology that was not ordered to the nation.”
