The 2025 edition of the AMAPRO FOOTBALL Championship was launched in Ilorin, the state of Kwara on Monday with a large number of exciting objectives and actions in the four groups.
The FC FC defenders champions established an early score in group A with a convincing 3-1 victory over Unity FA, while other heavyweights such as Kwara Football Academy, KFA, NPFL Allstars and Gaa Akanbi FC also began their campaigns with winning notes.
In the Kwara Football Academy, Kfa Pitch, Abraysports FC obtained her persecution for a successful hat trick with a solid performance against the FA of Unity.
Obadun Abdulrasheed opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, before Mustapha Ogungbenro grabbed an orthopedic device in the 65th and 87th minutes. Adebomi Olamilekan withdrew one for the FA unit in minute 80, but only proved to be a comfort.
In the other group A shock, Kasam FA and Laycon FA played a 2-2 pulsating draw at the rashidi yekini mainbowl.
Jamal Kamaldeen’s first double for Kasam (6 ‘, 35’) was canceled by Olasunkanmi Muktar (22 ‘) and Adloowo Pelumi (42’) for Laycon FA in an entertaining contest.
Dickalo FA surpassed Dollyp FC 1-0 thanks to a tenth minute strike of Olawale Tosin.
The former champions, KFA claimed a 3-1 return victory in an ambitious Gateway FA.
Ogunsusi Folajimi had given Gateway leadership in the 23rd minute, but Kfa responded in style through goals from Fawas Sakariyau (penalty 39 ‘), Ikechukwu Ifeanyi (56’) and Kehinde Ayinde (83 ‘).
Gaa Akanbi FC won a 2-1 victory over the FC Area, with goals from Saa’d Abdulraheem (13 ‘) and Adeloye Shola (70’). Previously, Araba had lost a penalty through Rilwan Olanrewaju in the 24th minute, before Joshua Aiadugba reduced the afternoon deficit.
In the other game, HMK FC and Da Faria FC were formed with a goalless draw in a very disputed game.
House of prayers FC (HOP) and Discovery Talent FA played a 1-1 draw. Adama Isiah gave Hop the advantage in the 44th minute, but Abdulrazaq Muhammed of Discovery matched in the 75th minute.
NPFL Allstars produced one of the outstanding performances of the day, sweeping Excel FA 3-0. Ajibade Suleiman stole the headlines with a brilliant hat of hats, an orthopedic device in the first half and a goal in the second half to complete the defeat.
The actions continue on Tuesday with day two in the groups.
