Amazon, Google, Microsoft urges employees to remain in the US amid immigration uncertainty

The USA USAZON’s main technology companies, including Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, are reported to suggest their H-1B visa employees to avoid traveling outside the United States amid increasing uncertainty over immigration policies and visa renewal.

According to reports, the company secretly sent internal advice to foreign workers about temporary visas, warning that leaving the country could put them at the risk of delay or rejection when re-entering.

Attention comes when immigration deposits and improvement of supervision under the shift in US visa rules have triggered new concerns for thousands of technology employees who rely on the H-1B program.

Visa H-1B, which allows US entrepreneurs to employ foreign workers in special work such as software engineering and data science, has long been the foundation of the American technology sector. Industrial groups estimate that more than 70% of H-1B holders are employed in the role of technology, with Indian citizens become the largest part.

An employee at a large cloud computing company, spoke anonymously to the press, said, “We are told that even a short trip abroad can cause uncertainty for months. Many of us delay travel plans, even for an emergency.”

This warning highlights how Silicon Valley depends on foreign talents when US policy makers reconsider visa allocation and tighten rules about skilled migration. Any disturbance can have ripple effects on projects, staffing, and global operations.
