As part of his continuous effort to raise residents among the growing economic challenges, the Okanlomo of Igbehin and the founder of the Toyin Amuzu Foundation, the head Toyin Amuzu, distributed 100 sales points (POS), start capital and registration certificates to small entrepreneurs in the government of Abeokuta, area of the local South of Ogun.
The initiative, which aims to promote financial inclusion and entrepreneurship, has been widely applauded by the beneficiaries and interested parties of the community, which described it as a timely intervention in the face of the economic realities of Nigeria.
The youth leader of the PDP in the state, Oyejide Sunkanmi in a tribute that he wrote from the village of Onisasa to Abeokuta North, said beyond the economic empowerment regime, Amuzu also intensified his philanthropic activities throughout the local government with multiple community development projects.
In the Oyejide statement he added that Amuzu commissioned the water projects in the communities of Erunbe and Shodipe, expanding access to clean water for over 18 communities in the area.
According to him, in an attempt to improve public safety and night visibility, Amuzu has also facilitated the installation of over 200 solar energy lampposts through Abeokuta South. Residents greeted the project as a turning point for community safety and local trade.
He said “Through the Toyin Amuzu Foundation, the philanthropist has constantly supported students and the elderly with food products, educational material and other essential elements, drawing praise from families and local leaders”.
Many observers have connected the growing popularity and basic of Amuzu reach its political ambition.
Amuzu, a member of the Popular Democratic Party (PDP), declared his interest in representing Abeokuta South at the National Assembly, positioning himself as a politician focused on the people engaged in the delivery of the service.
His contributions have not gone unnoticed.
In recent years, he has received numerous awards including the Award for the collaborator of the community by the Egba Youth Football Club, a prize for the volunteer service of the community of the Theater Arts and Movie Practioners Association of Nigeria (Tampan) and the Kaaf Distinguished Award for Football Excellence.
Oyejide said: “Chief Toyin Amuzu is a blessing for our people.
“We pray for more strength and long life for him to continue touching life”.
