Ancelotti was imprisoned for tax fraud in Spain

A Spanish court sentenced the manager of Real Madrid Carlo Ancelotti to prison for tax fraud committed in the country.

The Court, Wednesday, sentenced Ancelotti to one year in prison for tax fraud committed in 2014.

However, punishment will not force Brazil coach to serve time in prison.

Public ministries said that Ancelotti created a system of shell companies to hide extra earnings during his first spell as Real Madrid Manager in 2014 and 2015, in particular through image rights.

They said that the 66 -year -old Italian, one of the most successful managers in the history of football, was unable to pay more than a million euros due to unsigned earnings in those years, looking for four years and nine months of prison against him.

Ancelotti denied having intentionally committed a fraud in his highly advertised process in April, saying that he has never made a plan allowing him to collect part of his salary in the image rights that saw him pay less taxes.

A court of Madrid announced in a sentence that had sentenced Ancelotti for “a crime against the treasure … to the punishment of one year in prison” and a fine of 386,361 euros ($ 452,821), reported AFP.

But the former manager of Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), who no longer lives in Spain, will not take the time of prison because the sentence is less than two years and has no criminal record.

The Court has eliminated Ancelotti of the accusation of fraud for the 2015 tax year.
