On Wednesday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State of Lagos said that he had worked diligently for his victory in the elections of the local government on Saturday throughout the state.
The president of the APC of Lagos, the shepherd Cornelius Ojelabi, made this observation while he spoke with our correspondent during the presentation of return certificates.
Freedomonline reports that the APC has won all 57 seats of the presidency and 375 guidance positions of the councilor contested in the elections has ensured.
The independent electoral commission of the State of Lagos (Lasiec) presented return certificates to the 57 elected presidents and 376 advice elected to the event.
Ojelabi said that the party is satisfied with the result of the polls and has committed himself not to take for granted the trust and support of the people.
“We thank the people of Lagos for believing in our party and giving us this victory.
“We worked hard for this and we appreciate God for granting us the strength and wide acceptance shown by the people of the Lagos state,” said Ojelabi.
He assured the residents of Lagos that the party would have fulfilled to his country promises and that his candidates would satisfy expectations in all local councils.
According to him, the party has established mechanisms to monitor his officials of the elected council and make sure they contribute significantly to the development of the state.
“By grace of God, we will meet that expectation,” he added.
Loding Lasiec, Ojelabi described the elections as a success and historical exercise that reflected the will of the people.
