The elected governor under the Congress of All Progressive (APC) has stated a deep sadness over the death of the former President of Muhammadu Buhari, describing his death as a deep national loss and a painful moment for the country.
In the message of compassion issued in the name of the Progressive Governor Forum (PGF), Chair of the Forum and Governor of the State of IMO, Senator Hope Uzodimma, said the governors received the news of the Death of Buhari with “in -depth surprises and sadness.”
“This forum gave a sincere condolence to all Nigerians and the family of the late former president, describing his death as a monumental loss not only for his close family but also for the nation in general,” Uzodimma said.
He described the former president as an embodiment of honest and dedicated leadership, whose life was determined by integrity, patriotism, and rare commitment for public services.

The Governor of Uzodimma further praised the long and prominent buhari service for the country, first as a military leader and then as a civil president, adding that his contribution to the development of Nigeria would remain unlawful.

He noted that the term of office of Buhari was prominent because of the endless war against corruption and moral decay in public life, quoting an unwavering commitment to instill discipline and transparency in government.
“His firm attitude towards corruption and indifference – in principle he upholds both as the head of the state military and as a democratic elected president – across part of his eternal heritage,” he said.

While joining the Nigerians and the President of the Tinubu soccer in mourning over the former leader, Uzodimma prayed for eternal rest.
“Hopefully the soul of this Nigerian big son will find peace, and hopefully the legacy of courage, discipline, and selfless service will continue to inspire the path of leadership in our country,” he concluded.
