Aribo replaced, Onuachu benched as winless Southampton lose again

Joe Aribo was in action but could not help Southampton avoid a 3-1 defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Monday.

Southampton have failed to win any of their six Premier League games (one draw, five defeats) and are in 19th position in the table.

Aribo entered the match before the start of the second half for his fourth league appearance of the season.

His Nigerian teammate Paul Onuachu did not participate because he was an unused substitute.

Onuachu is yet to appear in the Premier League since returning from his loan.

Evanilson gave Bournemouth the lead in the 17th minute, while Dango Ouattara made it 2-0 in the 32nd minute.

Just seven minutes after the second goal, Antoine Semenyo made it 3-0 to Bournemouth.

Southampton scored a goal in the 51st minute thanks to Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
