The Federal Government, on Thursday, initiated the payment of the new minimum wage and its consequent adjustments to civil servants at all levels of the federal civil service.
This was confirmed in this month’s salary order signed by the Accountant General of the Federation, Dr Oluwatoyin Madein, and addressed to the Federation Budget Office directing the commencement of the new payments.
Documents from the National Revenue, Salaries and Wages Commission reveal the amount civil servants earn based on the Public Service Consolidated Pay Structure per cadre.

Below is the amount to be earned per year:
Tier 1 – N930,000
Tier 2 – N934,160
Tier 3 – N937,713
Tier 4 – N950,243.
Tier 5 – N973,123
Tier 6 – N1,041,786
Tier 7 – N1,277,667
Tier 8 – N1, 479,276
Tier 9 – N1, 641,226
Tier 10 – N1, 806,041.
Tier 12 – N2,007,152
Tier 13 – N2,182,637
Tier 15 – N2,358,936
Tier 16 – N3,611,689
Level 17 (Permanent Secretary) – N6,918,560.
