Atiku Harms Resignation Claims from PDP

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Friday canceled a claim about his resignation from the people’s Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement issued by his aide, Paul Ibe, the presidential candidate in the PDP in the 2023 election said several politicians who were desperate behind the claims posted on Facebook.

Atiku insisted that he was a member of the PDP who was bona fide and loyal.

The statement reads: “We will usually not waste words on the social media platform without facial as called ‘Adamawa Events.’ However, given the questions from the Nigerians concerned and the credible press members, we were forced to straighten out:

“Your Majesty Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President of Nigeria (1999-2007) and presidential candidates from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has not been repeated, has not resigned from PDP.

“This baseless source of rumors is a Facebook page that sells falsity, is clearly regulated by discouraged political operations with none other than damage and confusion in their agenda.

“This is an attempt that is taken into account to mislead the public and sow disputes among millions of Nigerians who look at Atiku Abubakar for direction and leadership. This is not just fake news – it is a rough and shameless political ax work.

“We urge Nigerians, especially supporters of Waziri Adamawa, to ignore this dangerous fabrication. This is a cruel and annoying tactic that is not worthy of getting anything but insult.

“Atiku Abubakar remains committed to the ideals of PDP and the democratic aspirations of the people of Nigeria.”
