Ave Int’l FC Isinweke cries the deceased Coach Christian Chukwu

The International Football Club, Isinweke, expressed deep pain for the disappearance of Nigerian football legend, coach Christian Chukwu, who died on April 12, 2025, at the age of 74.

In an official condolence message signed by the President of the Club, from the Upper Capo PMC Okeke, the club has extended sincere sympathies to the family, to friends and the largest football community, in particular from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

“We are deeply saddened by the news of the disappearance of the Chukwu coach. His departure leaves a significant void in the world of football,” read the statement.

Chukwu, a figure venerated in Nigerian football, was celebrated for his exceptional contributions both as a player and as a coach. He led the national team to his first title in Africa Cup of Nations in 1980 and then brought the Super Eagles to the 2004 FECC semifinals as head coach.

“His inheritance as a player and tactical will remain engraved in the annals of the history of Nigerian football,” added Ave Int’l FC.

The club was necessarily and comforted for the family in mourning during this difficult period and offered definitive definitions to the disappeared icon.

“Rest in peace with your creator, great coach Christian Chukwu,” concluded the statement.
