The victims were kidnapped when bandits attacked the institution in February and have been held captive ever since.
Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, who confirmed the news in a post via X on Monday, said the victims were released on Sunday.
However, he refused to reveal whether any ransom was paid for their release,

Zagazola said security forces played a key role in ensuring the freedom of the victims.
He wrote: “Students of the Federal University Gusau (FUG) and some staff who were kidnapped seven months ago have regained their freedom from their captors.
“It was gathered that the students and staff were kidnapped during a bandit attack in Gusau area in February this year.
“After being held for a long time, it was confirmed that all the abductees have returned in good health. Although details of how they were released are still unclear, security forces are said to have played a vital role in their rescue.”
