General Prosecutor and Commissioner of Justice of the State of Nasarawa, Barr. Isaac Danladi has expressed strong support for the Kwara United FC before its historical appearance in the final of the Cup of the 2025 president, scheduled to take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Saturday, June 28.
Speaking at a special reception held in his honor for his nearby ally and ABS soccer director Alloy Chukwueka in Ilorin on Sunday, Danladi said, he is optimistic that Kwara will lift the trophy.
Barr. Danladi, who is in Kwara in an official assignment to attend a round commitment of the honorable general lawyers of the central north states under the auspices of the Institute of Law of the Corporate and Public Sector (ICPCL), used the occasion to bring together support for the representatives of the North Center in the final of the oldest football competition in Nigeria.
“We are here under the auspices of ICPCL to strengthen the collective struggle against corruption,” he explained, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, not only in governance but also in sports development.
In what will be the first in the history of the club, Kwara United will face Abakaliki FC in the male final, while the Nasarawa Amazon will compete in the female final, a possible double win for the northern center region.
Speaking with emotion and conviction, Barr. Danladi praised the unity and camaraderie that witnessed among Kwara’s interested parties during her visit.
“By the way, I can see all the former presidents of Kwara United, including the current GM and ABS FC officials, sitting together and sharing drinks. That says a lot. It shows that Kwara is really a state of harmony,” he said.
“I left a meeting of the so -called big men just to join my friends here. Even the honorable attorney general of the state of Kwara is here with us. That sense of unity is powerful, and he urges everyone to hold her. A house divided against himself cannot stand.”
Looking towards the final, the former president of Nasarawa United expressed unwavering faith in the possibilities of Kwara United:
“By the special grace of God, on June 28, Kwara United will lift the trophy, not only for the state of Kwara but for the entire northern center. I will be there to support the team, lift the trophy, kiss it and even drink water from it.”
He also tipped Nasarawa’s Amazon to get victorious in the women’s category, asking for a clean sweep of the titles:
“With his excellence, the governor of the state of Kwara, as president of the Forum of Governors of Nigeria, and my governor as president of the Forum of Governors of the North Center, there is already synergy and collaboration. His unit should serve as an example for all of us.”
Overwhelmed by emotion, Barr. Danladi completed his comments with a sincere message of gratitude and service:
“Honestly, I don’t want to shed tears, but I am overwhelmed by the prayers and the good will I have received. I promise before God and man, I will not disappoint you. Every position I have occupied is for all of you. Anyone here can call me and I will always answer. That promise that I intend to maintain.”
