BDFA Honors Sesi Toku with Lifetime Achievement Award

Mr. Sesi Toku, a famous philanthropist, founder of the Ecas Football Club, Lagos and president of Amuwo Odofin All-Stars, was honored with a life for the life of the Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA). This recognition comes in the field of the association’s efforts to celebrate the key characters who have made a significant contribution to the development of football in the division.

With affection known as “President” by friends and collaborators, Mr. Toku is widely respected for his integrity, charisma and commitment in basic football. He has constantly returned to the Badagry division through various deeds of charity and unwavering support for the development of football in the region.

Toku was a constant source of motivation for the BDFA, always standing near the division and supporting his programs and initiatives. His dedication to the growth of football in the area has not gone unnoticed.

The Lifetime Achievement Award will be formally assigned to Mr. Sesi Toku on June 15, 2025, during the BDF-Rak League finals, which will be held at the Badagry Grammar School Sports Pitch, Badagry.

Speaking to the prize, Dr. Osondu Martins Ibegbu, president of the Badagry Divisional Football Association, described the honor as “deserved” and a reflection of the enormous contribution of Toku to the growth of the game in the division.

Mr. Sesi Toku was a support pillar for our association. His passion, generosity and commitment to the development of young people through football are truly praisable. This prize is a sign of our sincere appreciation, “said Dr. Osondu.

Thanks to supporters such as Mr. Toku, BDFA has continued to grow in national importance, creating platforms for young talents and promoting a positive commitment within the community.
