The Nigerian brothers, Damilola and Jomiloju Ajanaku, officially joined Nk Jelinstvo Bihać, a club in competition in the Fbih’s first League, the second level of professional football in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During a short and vibrant signature ceremony held on Friday 26 September, the president of the club, Saša Smiljanić, explained that the decision to sign the brothers was based on their individual qualities and on the rich football pedigree of the Nigerian players.
“We decide to sign the two brothers because we refresi the immense talent nigeria continues to produce— elegends like jay-jay okocha, kanu nwankwo, and more recently, Victor Osimhen and adamola looks, Who have booth won african football of the year. We Hope Damilola and Damilola Jomiloju can replicate that level of excellence, not only for our club but also for their national team, “Smiljanić said.
He also urged the players to give his best to help the club return to the Premier League, following his relegation in the 2007/2008 season.
The Ajanaku brothers expressed their gratitude to the management of the club for the opportunity and have committed themselves to reimburse the trust in them.
“We are excited to join this historical club, the first football club in Bihać, founded around 1920. We are confident that we can contribute to the team’s trip to the Premier League,” said Damilola.
Jomiloju also thanked the president of the club and all those who made the move possible, recognizing the support of their family.
“This is a new chapter of our career and we are deeply grateful to our parents for allowing us to pursue our dreams. It is a great opportunity to show our talents and work to represent Nigeria and play for the best clubs in Europe. We believe that joining NK JEDINSTO BIHAć will open the doors for us in the future”.
