Reverend Kalu Ukpai Ota, a cleric relegated from the state of Abia, has thrown his weight behind the return of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu to the Senate in 2027, stating that the people of Abia North is eager to see him continue his legislative service.

Speaking with journalists during the weekend, Rev Ota described Senator Kalu as a man of peace, with a strong experience in the national assembly and a constant commitment for human development throughout the state of Abia and Nigeria in general.

“Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has the experience, scope and results to be shown. His mandate to the Senate brought visible benefits to Abia North. People ask for his return because they know his value,” said Rev Ota.

The cleric also praised Kalu’s stall, observing that he refused to engage in political conflicts with other elected official officials.

“He is not fighting with anyone. He is focused on development and unity, which is what Abia needs at this moment.”

Rev Ota, however, has warned against support any aspiring senatorial that could go around to challenge and destabilize the progress of the state.

“It is better to have Kalu. He will not fight or work against the progress of the state. We must be careful not to enhance someone who will emerge and use that platform to create division and tension. Abia needs peace and stability,” he recommended.

He invited all the Abiani well intentioned to support Senator Kalu for reasons of continuity, experience and effective representation at the federal level.
