Head of Bode George, a former Deputy Chairperson of the Democratic Party (PDP), has launched a scathing criticism of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), his brand as a “one -person performance” without the original political structure.
He also discussed the internal chaos that interrupted his own party, warning the horrific consequences if the PDP failed to solve the problem at the upcoming meeting.
During the appearance at Channels Television’s Morning Brief on Wednesday, George rejected the framework of the APC organization, stating, “APC has no structure; it’s only one person.” He stressed the need for a decent political alternative to prioritizing the population rather than individual ambitions.
“What should be people first. Then, our attitude to manage the country’s resources for the benefit of the people. Individualism will never be able to solve this. Personal ambition is a very dangerous and stupid approach to solving problems,” he said.
“You must give up on something and have to allow freshness in the minds of people in this country. Governance is about them; power must be from them,” George added, highlighting the importance of participatory government.

Turning his attention to the PDP internal dispute, George expressed his careful optimism for the resolution at the next party executive committee meeting (NEC). “This starts like a little pain; now it is almost like a cancer that spreads. It starts with the ambition of uncontrolled individuals; it does not only start yesterday,” he recalls.
He described the established party mechanism for conflict resolution, stating, “PDP has a system that we will solve our problems. Day we have the next NEC meeting, we will solve our problems. So many people have interpreted the position, law, and party constitution to calm down.”
George anticipates strong and honest exchanges at the coming meeting. “I believe that when we meet, we will fight, discuss, and debate. In the long run, we will arrive at a unanimous decision because we will now place the process of the process of process set by the party founders. Those who do not like it can walk and join other parties,” he said.
He, however, issued a firm warning: if the PDP fails to reconcile the difference at the next NEC meeting, “that’s the end.” He also acknowledged the party’s awareness about individuals who incited disputes and emphasized the need for decisive actions.
