Bonifacio, Chukwueze in danger of being dropped from the Super Eagles World Cup qualifying squad

Bayer Leverkusen’s striker, Victor Boniface, and the end of AC Milan, Samuel Chukwueze, face the possibility of being removed from the Nigerian senior national team when the list is cut to 23, Owngoalnigeria.com can reveal exclusively.

Both players were appointed in the provisional list of 39 men called by the chief coach of the national senior team of Nigeria Eric Chelle for the World Cup classifying games against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, respectively, in March.

Both players were sure that the team at the beginning of the year, but a bad streak at the Club level had questioned their participation in coach Eric Chelle without impressing for their limited game time at the club level and low performance for super eagles in previous games.

Sources close to Chelle say that he is great in the players who play regularly and that was why players like Sadiq Umar, Paul Unuachu, Nathan Tella, Joe Aribo and Cyriel’s desperate ones were appointed in the provisional list.
